Opening an Account

To become a member of a credit union you must be within that credit union’s common bond. Membership of Bray Credit Union Ltd is open to those living or working in our common bond which extends from Kilternan to Ashford which includes: Shankill, Enniskerry, Kilmacanogue, Bray, Greystones, Delgany, Kilpedder, Kilcoole, Newcastle, Newtownmountkennedy, the Sallygap, Roundwood and Glendalough. Anyone living or working within this common bond is eligible to apply for membership, and start saving as soon as they join.

To join us, you will need to call in to our office with the following:

1. Current Photo ID - Passport or Drivers Licence
2. Proof of Address - Utility Bill or Bank Statement dated within the last 6 months*
3. Proof of PPS number or Tax Identification Number - found on payslip, Medical Card, letters from Revenue
4. €1.00 joining fee, this is be deducted from your first lodgement.

Bray Credit Union Ltd. Let’s people in the community come together to save and borrow money at competitive rates and is operated on a not-for-profit basis, with surpluses being returned to members (where applicable).

All members, over 16, are eligible to vote in respect of the affairs of Bray Credit Union Ltd. at our Annual General Meeting, notification will be posted / emailed to all eligible members.

Please note for children’s accounts ( under 16)

• An account may be opened by the child or their parent/legal guardian only
• The proof of address must be in the name of the parent/guardian opening the account
• A Birth Certificate may be accepted in place of photo I.D.
• The Parent/Guardian opening the account must also produce photo I.D. & proof of address
• Proof of PPS number for the child is also required.
