We are looking for Volunteer Directors

Should you happen to live or work in Bray or north Wicklow, have professional business expertise and wish to make a difference, then Bray Credit Union Ltd. wants to hear from you.

As the largest credit union in county Wicklow, the Board of Directors of Bray Credit Union recognises that a skilled team is essential to protect the funds of our members and to continue to provide member-owned financial services.

The search is now on for volunteer directors to further enhance and strengthen the board to ensure the long term success and sustainability of our vital local service to the people of Bray and county Wicklow.

We are seeking potential members to join our volunteer board who can meet the following criteria:

• Is a member, or will become a member of Bray Credit Union: volunteer directors must live or work within the common bond area which extends from Kilternan to Ashford inclusive and includes Enniskerry, the Sallygap, Roundwood and Glendalough. All volunteer directors must share the ethos as a community based financial co-operative.

• All potential volunteer directors must satisfy a due diligence regime of fitness and probity as set out by statute and enforced by the Central Bank of Ireland.

• All volunteer directors must be committed to attend and actively contribute to board and committee meetings. The board is required to meet at least monthly and currently directors meet a number of times each month.

• All new volunteer directors will receive a structured induction and ongoing training in the role. Most importantly volunteer directors gain the satisfaction of making a key contribution to this vital organisation and to the lives of our members.
